From pro-athletes to weekend warriors: we see them all.
The musculoskeletal (MSK) and interventions section is a group of specially trained radiologists who diagnose conditions that affect the bones, joints and soft issues in the extremities. Typical disorders include injuries, arthritis and tumors, and conditions range from common sprains to rare inherited diseases. Our specialists use the most advanced computed tomography (CT), MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) and ultrasound techniques to clarify and stage these conditions so your physician can manage them. Follow-up studies after therapy help us assess treatment result.
Beyond diagnostic (imaging) services, we also perform a variety of pain management, fracture treatment and tumor-control procedures using percutaneous (non-surgical) image-guided techniques.
Our MSK radiologists are nationally and internationally recognized experts in the field and are among the ‘Best Doctors in America.’ That’s why professional athletic teams from around the country, including the Blues, seek our expertise. You can find us at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital and the Barnes-Jewish Orthopedic Center in Chesterfield.
