Imaoka earned his bachelor's degree at University of California, Davis and earned his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine. He completed a general surgery residency at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health as well as diagnostic radiology and general surgery residencies at St. Barnabas Medical Center. Having completed a musculoskeletal radiology fellowship at MIR.
