4 Join MIR Clinical, Research Faculty

Four new faculty members have joined Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology (MIR) at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.

headshot of Tyler Blazey, PhD

Tyler Blazey, PhD, joins the Biomedical MR Center as an instructor in radiology. Blazey has been a research assistant in the Knight Alzheimer Disease Research Center, a doctoral student and postdoctoral research associate in the lab of Marcus E. Raichle, MD, and most recently, a postdoctoral research associate in the lab of Cornelius von Morze, PhD.  His research focuses on the development of metabolic imaging methods to study neurodegenerative diseases.

Blazey earned a doctorate in neuroscience from Washington University in St. Louis and his bachelor’s degree in neuroscience from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities.

Katharina F. Feister, MD, joins the abdominal imaging section as an assistant professor of radiology. An alumna, Feister completed her diagnostic radiology residency and abdominal imaging fellowship at MIR and served as chief resident from 2022–2023. She earned a medical degree from the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine and her bachelor’s degree from Suffolk University.

Katerina S. Konstantinoff, MDjoins the abdominal imaging section as an assistant professor of radiology. Konstantinoff is an alumna, having completed her diagnostic radiology residency and abdominal imaging fellowship at MIR. She earned a medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Chicago.

Adam D. Naylor, MD, joins the cardiothoracic imaging section as an assistant professor of radiology. Naylor is an alumnus, having completed his diagnostic radiology residency and cardiothoracic imaging fellowship at MIR. He earned a medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan.
