Jack W. Jennings, MD, PhD, is a professor of radiology and chief of musculoskeletal radiology for Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology (MIR) at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. Known for his innovation in the field of musculoskeletal interventions, Jennings is the director of musculoskeletal and spine intervention procedures at MIR. He served as the 2022-2023 president of the American Society of Spine Radiology. In 2014, he created a multidisciplinary metastatic spine disease working group that led to published recommendations for the treatment of metastatic spine disease. An MIR alumnus, Jennings came to the School of Medicine in 2003 as a resident and also completed a musculoskeletal radiology fellowship before joining the faculty. He earned his medical and doctoral degrees from the University of South Florida College of Medicine.

Musculoskeletal radiology; minimally invasive treatment of benign and malignant tumors in the bone, spine and soft tissues; bone and soft tissue biopsies; sports medicine

Research Interests

Musculoskeletal procedures and interventions, vertebral augmentation, tumor thermal ablation, bone and soft tissue biopsies
