Faculty members, fellows and residents from Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology (MIR) at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis gathered at the Stifel Theatre to celebrate the 2022 graduating class. The graduates reflected on their time at MIR, recognized outstanding peers and professors and celebrated the next step of their careers. Jennifer E. Gould, MD, professor of radiology and diagnostic radiology residency program director, presided over the evening’s events.
Anup S. Shetty, MD, associate professor of radiology and director of the advanced abdominal imaging fellowship, was selected as the Teacher of the Year for his dedication to providing excellent radiology education. Jonathan C. Baker, MD, associate professor of radiology and director of the musculoskeletal imaging and interventions fellowship; Sanjeev Bhalla, MD, professor of radiology and vice chair for education; Tyler J. Fraum, MD, assistant professor of radiology; and Vincent M. Mellnick, MD, associate professor of radiology and chief of abdominal imaging, were named Distinguished Teaching Award winners.
Trainee award winners included Matthew F. Glasser, MD, PhD, who won the RSNA Roentgen Resident/Fellow Research Award recognizing an outstanding trainee whose work has advanced radiologic research, and Joshua A. Marlow, MD, who was honored as Fellow of the Year.
