Anup S. Shetty, MD, is an associate professor at Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology (MIR) at Washington University School of Medicine. He serves as fellowship director for advanced abdominal imaging and service director for body MRI. Following an internal medicine residency at the School of Medicine, Shetty completed a diagnostic radiology residency and body magnetic resonance imaging fellowship at MIR. His areas of interest include abdominal imaging, body MRI, emergency radiology, vascular imaging, genitourinary imaging, prostate MRI and radiology education. In 2019, Shetty was named an inaugural fellow of the School of Medicine’s Academy of Educators. He also serves on several committees, including as incoming chair of the American Board of Radiology Online Longitudinal Assessment GI committee. Shetty is a member of the American Roentgen Ray Society, American College of Radiology, Association of University Radiologists and Society of Abdominal Radiology. He earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwest Medical School in Dallas and his bachelor’s degree from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina.
