Summer Research Program at the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology
The Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology (MIR) Summer Research Program offers undergraduate and medical students an excellent introduction to current radiological sciences research. This is a 10-week program based on approximately 40 hours per week; you may start anytime between May 25 and June 8.
The list of Participating Faculty for 2016 is found on the attached PDF file. Prior to submitting the application, please contact potential faculty mentors to discuss your interest in their research. The wide variety of ongoing research includes areas such as:

- Cardiovascular imaging
- Contrast agent development
- Diagnostic radiology
- Digital imaging
- Magnetic resonance imaging
- Magnetic resonance spectroscopy
- Molecular pharmacology
- Neuroscience imaging
- Nuclear medicine

- Positron emission tomography
- Radiopharmaceutical development
- X-ray computed tomography
Stipend: Applicants selected to the Summer Research Program will receive $5,000 for a 10-week summer research period.
Application: Please return your completed application, official transcripts from all undergraduate schools (and medical school if applicable), and two letters of recommendation as indicated in the MIRSP application. All materials must be post-marked by Monday, February 15, 2016.
