Duncan, Woodard Inducted into Academy of Educators

James R. Duncan, MD, PhD, professor of radiology, and Pamela K. Woodard, MD, the Hugh Monroe Wilson Professor of Radiology, were inducted into the Academy of Educators at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. The academy is an institutional collaboration that fosters excellence in health science education, including programs, workshops, grants and awards to support its members’ skill development and educational growth.

Duncan serves as chief of interventional radiology for Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology (MIR) and was recently named a Carol B. and Jerome T. Loeb Teaching Fellow.

Woodard serves as senior vice chair and division director of radiology research facilities and was recently named RSNA’s 2021 Outstanding Researcher and was elected a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science.

Duncan and Woodard join the academy alongside other MIR faculty members including Jennifer E. Gould, MD, Michelle M. Miller-Thomas, MD, Constantine A. Raptis, MD, Anup S. Shetty, MD, Monica Shokeen, PhD, and Sharlene A. Teefey, MD.
