Computational Medicine and Imaging Lab

The Computational Medicine and Imaging Laboratory, led by Kooresh Shoghi, PhD, works at the interface of computational medicine and imaging science, integrating artificial intelligence, in silico models of human biology, virtual imaging trials, and multi-scale biomarker discovery to identify novel imaging biomarkers and predict therapeutic response in cancer and systemic disease. A defining feature of our program is the tight coupling of wet- and dry-lab efforts which we apply in the context of co-clinical (preclinical and clinical) imaging research to enable bidirectional translation of quantitative imaging methodologies and the identification of therapeutic endpoints, with the broader aim of translating quantitative imaging and computational medicine approaches into measurable improvements in patient care.

Projects

Research projects in the CMI Lab encompass developing and validating imaging biomarkers, multi-scale bioinformatics analyses, computational biology, and quantitative imaging in an integrated framework to interrogate disease biology and therapeutic efficacy.
