Mazaheri Inducted Into Academy of Educators

Parisa Mazaheri, MD, an assistant professor of radiology, was inducted into the WashU Medicine Academy of Educators, an institutional coalition dedicated to health science education and innovation. Academy membership is highly selective and service-based, which aims to build a community of academic medical educators who are inspired to teach the next generation of medical professionals in new, engaging and innovative ways.

Mazaheri is a radiologist in the neuroradiology section at WashU Medicine Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology (MIR). An MIR alumna, she joined the faculty after completing a neuroradiology fellowship and diagnostic radiology residency. She earned her medical degree from Tehran University of Medical Sciences in Iran.

As one of the newest inductees, Mazaheri joins the ranks of fellow MIR faculty members who have also participated in the academy’s efforts, including James R. Duncan, MD, PhD; Tyler J. Fraum, MD; Jennifer E. Gould, MDCylen Javidan, MDMariam A. Malik, MDMichelle M. Miller-Thomas, MDConstantine A. Raptis, MDAnup S. Shetty, MD; Monica Shokeen, PhD and Pamela K. Woodard, MD.

She was formally inducted at the academy’s Education Day on October 14, 2025.
