Projects

Advancing Artificial Intelligence for Medical Imaging

Our lab develops and applies new artificial intelligence and machine learning approaches for medical image analysis to find hidden patterns that may signal disease imminence. These innovations drive progress in both research and clinical care.

Unraveling the Mysteries of Brain Development

In the Medical Artificial Intelligence Lab, we research the processes that shape the developing brain, focusing on conditions such as autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders. Using advanced imaging techniques, we aim to better understand these conditions and contribute to improved diagnostic and therapeutic approaches.

We investigate the mechanisms behind aging and neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. Our goal is to develop new diagnostic tools and advance understanding of what distinguishes healthy aging from disease processes. We investigate the discovery of new therapeutic pathways.

Our People

The lab, led by Shinjini Kundu, MD, PhD, leverages multidisciplinary expertise in engineering, computer science, medical imaging and medicine to drive both fundamental and translational discoveries to advance AI and health care.
