Pilot Funds

MIR Pilot Funds can be used for projects within the MIR research support facilities. Maximum award amounts are $15,000 per project. Funding for projects in CTIU facilities are to be used in conjunction with JIT funding from ICTS.

The purpose of these funds is to provide seed money to test new ideas in the preliminary stages before enough data has been gathered to submit a proposal for external funding. Before filling out a request for funds, please consider the impact this may have on the field, your potential to obtain future funding, and the project’s design and procedures.

  • Name, co-investigator(s), department(s), contact(s)
  • Full title (must match any other paperwork submitted)
  • File name (short title)
  • How will this funding resource help obtain external funding (provide specific RFA or PA if applicable)?
  • What is the aim of your project?
  • What are you doing that will make a significant impact?
