Prasad Joins Nuclear Medicine Faculty

Vikas Prasad, MD, joins Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology (MIR) at Washington University School of Medicine of St. Louis as an associate professor of radiology in the Division of Nuclear Medicine.

Prasad excels in delivering quality clinical care and conducting basic and clinical research in the field of theranostics — neuroendocrine neoplasms in particular. He joins MIR from University Hospital Ulm, where he served as a professor of nuclear medicine.

Prasad obtained his doctoral degree in medicine and surgery from the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College, Indore. He completed two years in radiation medicine and two years of residency in nuclear medicine in India. He also completed a year of research training and two years of nuclear medicine residency followed by six years of doctoral and postdoctoral training in Germany.
