Parihar Named Inaugural CECI² & QIBA Fellow

Ashwin Singh Parihar, MD, instructor in radiology for Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology (MIR) at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, is a recipient of the inaugural Academy Council of Early Career Investigators in Imaging (CECI²) and Quantitative Imaging Biomarkers Alliance (QIBA) Fellowship.

Supported by the Academy for Radiology & Biomedical Imaging Research and the Radiological Society of North America’s Quantitative Imaging Biomarkers Alliance, this fellowship offers early-career investigators the opportunity to be mentored by industry experts, contribute to specific QIBA biomarker committees, build their professional social media presence and engage with some of the foremost experts in the quantitative imaging field.

Fellows are selected from members of the Academy’s CECI² Council, a group of high-achieving, early-career researchers who engage in research funding advocacy including programming geared towards career development, networking and grant funding. Parihar — a member of the Wahl Lab, led by MIR Director Richard L. Wahl, MD — is a member of the 2022 CECI² class.

Parihar’s research interests include theranostics, nuclear medicine and oncology imaging. He will be recognized during the 2022 Quantitative Imaging Symposium at the 108th RSNA Scientific Assembly and Annual Meeting in Chicago.
