MIR at the Ballpark: A Night of Baseball and Bonding

St. Louis is home to a thriving sports scene, and a night at Busch Stadium is a beloved pastime for baseball fans. This year, faculty, staff and trainees from WashU Medicine Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology (MIR) had the pleasure of experiencing this cherished tradition at the department’s annual outing alongside their families and friends.

Attendees were treated to a thrilling game, as the St. Louis Cardinals — 11-time World Series champions — faced off against the Cincinnati Reds. They enjoyed a sweeping view of the stadium and the St. Louis skyline while partaking in a variety of food in a private suite, which provided all the best parts of a baseball game, paired with amenities of comfort and convenience, allowing them to connect with one another.

The high-spirited game culminated in the Cardinals’ 3-0 win over the Reds. However, what truly made the evening special was the sense of camaraderie among the group. The cheers, laughter and lively conversations highlighted a bond that transforms this team of colleagues into a close-knit community.
