Miller-Thomas Selected for WashU Leadership Excellence Program
Michelle M. Miller-Thomas, MD, associate professor of radiology for Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology (MIR), has been selected to participate in the Leadership Excellence and Development (LEAD) Program cohort of the Institute for Leadership Excellence at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.
LEAD aims to help seasoned leaders at the university who are responsible for coaching and leading teams enhance their leadership skills, organizational acumen and collegial networks across the institution. 2023-2024 cohort participants will attend monthly leadership workshops on a variety of topics designed to encourage self-reflection and develop contextual skills. The LEAD program lasts nine months, starting in September and culminating May 1, 2024.
Miller-Thomas is a dedicated and highly decorated educator at MIR. She serves as the university’s director of medical student education in radiology and assistant director of both the diagnostic radiology residency and neuroradiology fellowship programs. She received the Loeb Teaching Fellowship in 2020 and the Creativity Distinguished Service Teaching Award in 2022.
