Match Day 2025: A New Class of Future Leaders in Radiology

Next year, WashU Medicine Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology will welcome 22 trainees for the next phase of their medical career journey. Today marks Match Day, a much-anticipated annual national event where fourth-year medical students learn where they will be training for residency. MIR’s radiology residency will gain 16 diagnostic radiology residents, three residents in the research residency track and three integrated interventional radiology residents.
During the first three years of residency, trainees rotate through MIR’s core curriculum, which intends to progressively build their competence and turn them into well-rounded radiologists in all areas of diagnostic radiology. They then have the opportunity to explore subspecialty training, teaching electives, research and more.
