MIR Residency Program Welcomes Match Day 2024 Trainees

Match Day is a much-anticipated annual national event where fourth-year medical students learn where they will be training for residency, the next phase of their medical career journey. This year, 19 trainees from across the country have matched with Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology (MIR) at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis to complete their radiology residency training.
The resident class — which will join MIR in 2025 — consists of 16 diagnostic radiology residents, one resident in the research residency track and two integrated interventional radiology residents. During the first three years of residency, trainees rotate through MIR’s core curriculum, which intends to progressively build their competence and turn them into well-rounded radiologists in all areas of diagnostic radiology. They then have the opportunity to explore subspecialty training, teaching electives, research and more.
