Xu Lab

Projects

Project 1

The Xu Lab is focused on the postmortem validation and characterization of a variety of biomarkers for disease progression imaging of Alzheimer disease, Parkinson disease and other central nervous disorders.

Project 2

Another focus of the Xu Lab is dopamine functions and regulations in nigrostriatal neuron degeneration; and investigation of an agonist of D3 receptor as autophagy enhancing agent for degradation of alpha-synuclein aggregates.

Project 3

The Xu Lab is studying inflammation and oxidative DNA damage involved in cancer, neurodegeneration and cardiovascular disease.

Project 4

The Xu Lab is developing cancer imaging and radiation therapy probes targeting different cellular regions: DNA, nucleus membrane, cell membrane and cytosol.

Our People

The lab, led by Jinbin Xu, PhD, is comprised of a multidisciplinary team of researchers and students interested in biomedical imaging science.
