BMRC

Garbow/Neil/Ackerman Lab

The Garbow/Neil/Ackerman Lab aims to determine the fundamental biophysical and physiologic determinants of the magnetic resonance (MR) signal from living systems and to apply this understanding to improve diagnosis and treatment of human disease.

Our People

The lab partners with Washington University’s leading researchers in the field of magnetic resonance imagine (MRI) and magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS).

Projects

The lab focus includes developing innovative MRI and spectroscopy protocols in concert with small-animal models of development and of disease and pathology with an emphasis on neuroscience. Human-based extensions of model system developments are also pursued.
