St. Louis is renowned for its vibrant sports culture, and the WashU Medicine Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology team always looks for opportunities to connect off campus. Recently, the education team, trainees and their loved ones enjoyed a fun-filled outing to Energizer Park, home of St. Louis CITY SC – the city’s first professional soccer team.

Attendees cheered on the club’s reserve team CITY2 in their match against Colorado Rapids 2. While CITY2 unfortunately suffered a 1-0 loss, their first of the season, the excitement in the air and the camaraderie among the group more than made up for the score. The outing not only allowed the group to enjoy the thrilling atmosphere of professional soccer but also reinforced how the St. Louis sports scene continues to bring the community together. Win or lose, the true victory was in the shared experience and strengthened bonds.
