Nawar A. Aljundi, MD

Diagnostic Radiology Resident

Graduation Year:
2027

My hometown: Rochester Hills, MI
My teachable medical school moment: Seeing my first ruptured ectopic pregnancy and how heavily we relied on the radiologist before taking the patient back to the OR and saving her life!
I chose MIR because: World-renowned faculty that are so wise and humble, complex cases while still having tons of bread and butter pathology.
My personal interests: I love anything to do with cats, coffee, watching movies and probably too much reality TV. I am also very passionate about women's health and interested in the intersection of improving women's health through both breast imaging and nuclear medicine!
My favorite go-to meal: Middle Eastern cuisine/Original Shawarma House here in Ballwin!
I’m excited about living in St. Louis because: Diversity of food, beautiful parks and it definitely helps to have my uncles that are close by and serve as my support system.
Something most people don’t know about me: I am a proud cat mom of 4.
Anything else you should know about me: Love learning about all things especially outside of medicine! I think as physicians we can get often forget that the world is still spinning. Never forget to brush up on general knowledge (history, technology, science). Documentaries are awesome for getting to know the world around us in a short amount of time!
