Ances Leads Site for Multicenter Alzheimer’s and Down Syndrome Study

Researchers from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis are taking part in a multisite study to investigate the biomarkers of Alzheimer’s disease to better understand how Alzheimer’s develops in people with Down syndrome.

Beau M. Ances, MD, PhD, the Daniel J. Brennan, MD, the Daniel J. Brennan, MD, Professor of Neurology and a professor of radiology and biomedical engineering, is the study’s site director at the School of Medicine. He leads a project to map the molecular changes that occur in the brain as Alzheimer’s develops in this population.
