An Evening of Art and Fun for MIR Residents

A group of radiology residents and faculty smile and hold their van Gogh-inspired paintings of St. Louis' skyline at night.

Residents and faculty from WashU Med Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology (MIR) spent an evening painting and connecting during the team’s monthly get-together.

They gathered at Pinot’s Palette in Webster Groves, a well-loved suburb known for its thriving arts scene, and followed step-by-step instructions from a trained artist to create their masterpieces.

By the end of the night, the group took home a van Gogh-inspired painting depicting St. Louis’ famous skyline at night, reflecting the Gateway Arch in the Mississippi River.
