A Look Back at RSNA 2019

As we anticipate the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) 2021 Meeting, we can’t help but take a look back at our last in-person meeting.

While some members of the MIR faculty have attended the annual radiology meeting numerous times, then resident Chelsea Samson, MD, attended for the first time in 2019, taking in what the experience has to offer a budding trainee.

Some highlights for Samson, who remained at MIR for a musculoskeletal fellowship, included competing in the third annual RSNA Diagnosis Live™️ Resident Competition. Her team competed against 14 other programs, diagnosing cases at a rapid pace in front of a crowd of onlookers.

Samson spent nearly a week at RSNA, allowing her to connect with colleagues from other institutions as well as fellow MIR residents.

“It’s like a reunion,” she said. “I think everyone has this common interest in innovation and learning, so it’s really motivating to be here.”
