Match Day 2026: 19 Radiology Residents Join MIR

It’s a match! WashU Medicine Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology welcomes 19 trainees as they begin the next stage of their medical careers. Celebrated each year across the country, Match Day is the moment when fourth-year medical students learn where they will continue their training in residency. MIR’s radiology residency will gain 15 diagnostic radiology residents, one resident in the research residency track and three integrated interventional radiology residents.

Throughout the first three years of their residency, trainees rotate through MIR’s core curriculum, which progressively builds their competence and prepares them to become well-rounded radiologists across all areas of diagnostic radiology. They then have the opportunity to explore subspecialty training, teaching electives, research and more.
