Tsai, Wang Join MIR Faculty
Two new faculty members join Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology (MIR) at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.
Richard Tsai, MD, joins the abdominal imaging section as an assistant professor. He comes to MIR from Advanced Radiology Consultants of Kansas City and was on MIR’s faculty as an instructor before joining private practice.
Tsai earned his medical degree from Saint Louis University School of Medicine. He completed his diagnostic radiology residency at MIR, serving as one of our chief residents and as an abdominal imaging fellow.
Liang Wang, MD, PhD, joins the neuroradiology section as an assistant professor. His research focuses on using resting-state fMRI to study changes in brain connectivity in early Alzheimer’s disease.
Wang earned his medical and doctoral degrees in imaging and nuclear medicine from Capital Medical University in Beijing, where he also earned a master of science degree in imaging and nuclear medicine. He completed a neuroradiology fellowship and a nuclear medicine residency at MIR.
Before joining MIR, Wang completed a one-year research fellowship at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City and a three-year research fellowship at Harvard Medical School in Boston.
