Twelve talented students from across the country have been selected to participate in the Summer Research Program at Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology (MIR). The 10-week program introduces undergraduate and medical students to a wide array of current radiological sciences research — from optical imaging to nuclear medicine and positron emission tomography.
Mentorship is central to the program, so each participant is paired with a faculty member to help hone their research and professional skillset during their time at MIR. Also committed to fostering diversity, equity and inclusion within the field, the Summer Research Program designates three positions for women and underrepresented in medicine (URiM) applicants.
