5 Join MIR Patient Care Faculty
Five new physicians have joined the patient care team at WashU Medicine Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology (MIR).

Ankita Aggarwal, MD, joins the pediatric radiology section as an assistant professor of radiology. She has experience performing a variety of diagnostic procedures, including advanced imaging in pediatric patients and abdominal and pulmonary imaging in pediatric and adolescent populations. She previously worked at the Department of Radiodiagnosis & Interventional Radiology at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).
Aggarwal completed her diagnostic radiology residency training at AIIMS and earned a medical degree from Government Medical College & Hospital in Chandigarh, India.

Houman Alizadeh, MD, joins the physician practice in pediatric radiology. He comes to us from Johns Hopkins University, where he served as an assistant professor in the pediatric radiology division.
Alizadeh completed his diagnostic radiology residency at Tehran University of Medical Sciences and a non-vascular interventional fellowship at Louis Pasteur University in France. He completed fellowships in pediatric and neuroradiology at MIR and earned his medical degree from Babol University of Medical Sciences in Iran.

Daniel D. Friedman, MD, joins the community physician practice. His clinical interests include neuroradiology, abdominal radiology and emergency radiology.
An alumnus, Friedman completed his diagnostic radiology residency, where he served as one of the MIR chief residents for the 2023–2024 academic year. He completed an advanced abdominal imaging fellowship at MIR and earned his medical degree from WashU Medicine.

Lin Gu, MD, joins the breast imaging section as an assistant professor of radiology. She previously worked at the University of Pittsburgh, where she is completing her fellowship in breast imaging.
Gu completed her diagnostic radiology residency at Saint Louis University School of Medicine and served as chief resident. She earned her medical degree from Peking Union Medical College in Beijing.

Megan L. O’Brien, DO, joins the community physician practice. She completed her diagnostic radiology residency at Saint Louis University School of Medicine and a neuroradiology fellowship at MIR.
O’Brien earned her medical degree from A.T. Still University at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine.
