Wahl Elected SNMMI President
Richard L. Wahl, MD, director of Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, has been elected president of the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI). He will serve a one-year term as president-elect beginning in 2020 and step into the presidency in July 2021.
During his tenure, Wahl — also the Elizabeth E. Mallinckrodt Professor of Radiology — says he plans to focus on access to and advocacy for nuclear medicine, enhancing the diversity and number of professionals working in nuclear medicine, and discovery and innovation in nuclear medicine science.
