Thank A Resident Day 2025

Trainees not only fulfill our mission of exceptional patient care at WashU Medicine Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology — but they continually challenge us to keep learning, to keep growing, and to keep pushing the limits of what’s possible in radiology. Also known as the “house staff,” residents and fellows work side-by-side with attending colleagues to serve patients and grow into the next generation of radiology leaders. They also contribute to the education of medical students rotating through MIR.

The Gold Humanism Honor Society began the nationwide Thank A Resident Day celebration in 2018 to encourage education programs to show their gratitude and appreciation for their house staff.
