Ribeiro Pereira Joins MIR Research Faculty

Patrícia M. Ribeiro Pereira, PhD, has joined Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology (MIR) at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis as an assistant professor in the Precision Radiotheranostics Translation Center. Her research focuses on the use of biomolecules, ranging from small molecules to full-length antibodies, as tumor-targeting agents to deliver molecular imaging and therapeutic agents in the treatment of various cancers.

Ribeiro Pereira comes to us from the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center Department of Radiology, where she was a postdoctoral Tow Research Fellow with the research group of Jason Lewis, PhD. During her graduate studies, she also spent some time at Hunter College in New York City and the Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing in Berlin. She earned her doctorate in medicinal chemistry and master’s degree in biochemistry, both from the University of Aveiro in Portugal.
