Neuroscience and Precision Psychiatry Lab
Projects
Adolescent Twin Precision Imaging
The goal of this project is to uncover neural signatures of internalizing psychopathology that either predispose an individual to psychopathology and/or co-fluctuate with symptomatology over time.
Quantifying the Life Factors Shaping Brain Development
The goal of this project is to use Big Data, specifically the Adolescent Brain Cognitive Development (ABCD) Study (N=11,878, 9-11 yo) to quantify the association strength and neurobiology of hundreds of life factors relevant to brain development, including socioeconomics, screens, sleep, cognition, and psychopathology.
Sleep and Brains Treatment Study
The goal of this project is to promote our understanding of the neurobiology underlying associations between sleep and psychopathology within individuals in the context of a behavioral sleep intervention.
Our People
The lab, led by Scott Marek, PhD, leverages multidisciplinary expertise in the areas of radiology, neuroscience, psychiatry and engineering to promote a more reproducible and generalizable program of research towards ultimate clinical translation.
