BMRC
Zheng Lab
The Zheng Lab develops magnetic resonance imaging techniques for cardiovascular research. Specific areas of interest include myocardial perfusion and oxygenation imaging. The lab is the first to develop 17O-labelled agent to quantify MVO2 in vivo.

Our People
The Zheng Lab, led by Jie Zheng, PhD, collaborates with researchers at Washington University’s department’s of pathology and engineering as well as from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
Projects
Projects in the Zheng Lab include quantification of myocardial oxygen extraction ratio (OEF) and oxygen consumption (MVO2) as a function of myocardial blood volume and flow using BOLD effects.
