Providing Radiology Relief to Syria
With his native country Syria under siege, MIR first-year resident Abdulrahman Masrani, MD, is doing what he can to help.
Using social media, Masrani helped organized a group of radiologists to remotely read imaging studies for patients in embattled areas where resources and radiologists are scarce. Earlier this week at the annual RSNA meeting in Chicago, he spoke about the team of volunteer radiologists — known as the Tele-Radiology Relief Group — and their novel way to interpret exams.
