MIR Welcomes New Instructors

Three new instructors have joined our faculty in various sections.

Michael A. Beal, MD, joins the cardiothoracic imaging section as an instructor. He previously worked with the South Texas Radiology Group in San Antonio, Texas. Beal completed his diagnostic radiology residency training as well as his cardiothoracic imaging fellowship with MIR. He earned his medical degree from Saint Louis University School of Medicine.


Dan P. Harwood, MD, joins the interventional radiology section as an instructor. He comes to us from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine in Albuquerque, where he recently finished an interventional radiology fellowship after completing an ESIR and diagnostic radiology residency there. Harwood earned his medical degree from Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska.


Alexander Skopec, MD, joins the community radiology section as an instructor. Skopec comes to us from Chicago, where he completed his musculoskeletal radiology fellowship at Northwestern University this summer. He completed his diagnostic radiology residency at Saint Louis University and a general surgery internship at University of Missouri School of Medicine in Columbia after earning his medical degree from Saint Louis University School of Medicine.
