MIR Faculty and Trainee Named 2021 Highly Cited Researchers

Tammie L.S. Benzinger, MD, PhD, Matthew F. Glasser, MD, PhD, and Abraham Z. Snyder, MD, PhD, have been recognized as Highly Cited Researchers by the Institute for Scientific Information. Benzinger and Snyder are professors of radiology and Glasser is a radiology resident for Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.

The Highly Cited Researchers list identifies those who demonstrate significant and broad influence in their field based on the production of multiple highly cited papers that rank in the top 1% by citations for field and year in the Web of Science. The methodology that determines the “who’s who” of influential researchers draws on the data and analysis performed by bibliometric experts and data scientists.

The 2021 list includes 6,600 researchers from across the globe. Forty-five researchers from Washington University and the School of Medicine are recognized, including several Neuroimaging Labs Research Center members and collaborators.
