Mannix Named Blues Hometown Hero
Jaimee E. Mannix, MD, an assistant professor of radiology in breast imaging for WashU Medicine Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology (MIR), was honored as a Hometown Hero during an evening dedicated to honoring those who have experienced breast cancer and increasing awareness.
Hosted by the St. Louis Blues and Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and WashU Medicine, the Pink at the Rink theme night took place during the Blues hockey game against the Utah Mammoth at Enterprise Center in downtown St. Louis.
Mannix was recognized on the ice and shared her expertise from the broadcast booth alongside fellow WashU Medicine physician Premal Thaker, MD. Proceeds from the evening support Siteman and the life-saving research happening here in St. Louis.
