Practice Makes Perfect: Developing New Imaging Protocols

Before starting a new imaging protocol, The Benzinger Lab completes a dry run of the imaging procedure. This particular dry run was for 11C-CS1P1, a new PET tracer for neuroinflammation developed by collaborator Zhude “Will” Tu, PhD (second from left), with assistance from our collaborator Hongyu An, PhD, director of the Biomedical MR Center, as well as our Center for Clinical Imaging Research and radiology research study team members. Professor of Radiology Dean Wong, MD, PhD (pictured above, seated), poses as our practice research participant.
