Braden Receives Award Supporting Promising Postdocs

Kathryn Braden, PhD, a postdoctoral research associate in the Castro Lab, received the prestigious Ruth L. Kirschstein Postdoctoral Individual National Research Service Award. This award, which provides up to three years of support, is given to postdocs who demonstrate the potential to become productive, independent investigators. Braden’s research interests include endogenous opioids, affective and motivational neurocircuitry, and chronic pain. She earned her doctorate from Saint Louis University.
