Ikbal Şencan-Eğilmez, PhD, is an assistant professor of radiology and a principal investigator in the Biophotonics Research Center at Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology (MIR). Her research involves developing advanced preclinical optical microscopy methods to quantify oxygen delivery and consumption to advance neuroimaging. Şencan-Eğilmez received her doctorate in electrical engineering at the University of California, Los Angeles, and completed her postdoctoral training at the Yale School of Medicine and the Martinos Center at Massachusetts General Hospital.
