Debbie L. Bennett, MD, is an associate professor of radiology and chief of breast imaging for Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology (MIR) at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. Bennett, who was named chief in 2020, oversees screening and diagnostic mammography services and is a member of the breast cancer specialist team at Siteman Cancer Center. She previously established the breast imaging section at Saint Louis University School of Medicine, serving on the faculty for several years. She is also engaged with community outreach and education, including work as a Siteman health equity fellow through the Oncologic Imaging Program. After an internship in internal medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Bennett completed a residency in diagnostic radiology and a fellowship in breast imaging, both at Massachusetts General Hospital. She earned her medical degree from Harvard Medical School.
