David Loy, MD, PhD, is a clinical instructor in neuroradiology at Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology (MIR) and provides teleradiology services. He is an alumnus, completing his diagnostic radiology residency on the research track and fellowships in neuroradiology and endovascular surgical neuroradiology at MIR. He previously served as an instructor in MIR's neuroradiology section before joining the University of Virginia as an assistant professor, followed by some time in private practice. Loy earned his medical degree and doctorate from the University of Louisville School of Medicine, after which he served as a postdoc in the Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Louisville and completed an internship in general surgery at the University of Louisville Hospitals.
