Five Fellows Join MIR Faculty
Five physicians completing their fellowship training at WashU Medicine Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology (MIR) have joined the faculty, committing to caring for the St. Louis community and continuing to lend their medical expertise to the department’s patient care practice.
Andrew L. Chang, MD, PhD, joins the abdominal imaging section as an assistant professor of radiology. He completed his diagnostic radiology residency and advanced abdominal imaging fellowship at MIR. Chang earned his medical and doctoral degrees from Washington University School of Medicine.
Pegah Khoshpouri, MD, has been appointed assistant professor in the breast imaging section. She completed a breast imaging fellowship at MIR after her diagnostic radiology residency training at the University of Washington. Khoshpouri completed her medical degree at Tehran University of Medical Science.
Amar S. Shah, MD, joins the abdominal imaging section as an assistant professor. He completed an advanced abdominal imaging fellowship and an informatics imaging fellowship at MIR after his diagnostic radiology residency at the Mayo Clinic in Arizona. Shah earned his medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine.
Carl J. Stokes, MD, has been appointed assistant professor in the musculoskeletal radiology section. He completed his diagnostic radiology residency and fellowship in musculoskeletal imaging and interventions at MIR. Stokes received his medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine.
Yasasvi (Shez) Tadavarthi, MD, joins the abdominal imaging section as an assistant professor. He completed his diagnostic radiology residency, advanced abdominal imaging fellowship, and informatics imaging fellowship at MIR, and served as a chief resident from 2024–2025. Tadavarthi earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia.
