Shokeen Named Chair of Women in Molecular Imaging Network

Monica Shokeen, PhD, assistant professor of radiology, has been named the chair of the Women in Molecular Imaging Network (WIMIN), an interest group of the World Molecular Imaging Society (WMIS).

The network’s mission is to uplift women in molecular imaging sciences in a variety of ways:

— fostering career development and advancement through all stages of their careers

— Taking an advocacy position within the WMIS on issues of importance

— Providing leadership for career development opportunities

— Promoting and recognizing professional and scientific accomplishments
