Members of the Shokeen Molecular Imaging Lab headed north of the border to Montreal for the World Molecular Imaging Congress (WMIC), the annual meeting of the World Molecular Imaging Society (WMIS).
Monica Shokeen, PhD, assistant professor of radiology at MIR, gave an invited talk titled “Re-Envisioning Molecular Imaging to Impact Health Disparities” at the Women in Molecular Imaging Network (WIMIN) Interest Group sponsored session. WMIC also served as a great opportunity for members of the lab to connect with colleagues in the WIMIN network. The network fosters the career development and advancement of women in molecular imaging sciences, advocates within the WMIS regarding issues affecting women, provides leadership opportunities, and promotes and recognizes the professional and scientific accomplishments of women in the field.
