Yitian Zhang
PhD candidate
Education: MS, Biomedical Engineering, Washington University in Saint Louis; BS, Biological Engineering, Oregon State University
Research interests: in vivo application of multi-photon microscopy, optical coherence tomography, laser speckle contrast, and wide-field imaging
Hobbies: digital drawing, music playing, cooking

Sanjida Ali
PhD Candidate
Education: BS, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Islamic University of Technology, Gazipur, Bangladesh
Research interests: optical imaging with a focus on neuroscience and women’s health
Hobbies: walking around parks/new neighborhoods with friends, hiking, hosting tea parties for family, and trying out new cuisine with her husband

Kathleen Duncan
PhD candidate
Education: BS, Neuroscience, Cognitive Philosophy, Tulane University
Research Interests: Utilizing light to visualize neurophysiology
Hobbies: Cycling, baking, trying to keep plants alive

Mahlet Dagnachew
Education: Neuroscience, Division of Biology & Biomedical Sciences
Research interests: in vivo optical imaging, comprehensive preclinical optical microscopy techniques, pupillometry programming to enhance our understanding of neurovascular responses
Hobbies: drawing, playing tennis, and volunteering at animal shelters

Zara Husain
Education: Biomedical Engineering, McKelvey School of Engineering
Research interests: Etiology of various gastrointestinal diseases and their effect on other physiological systems, optical microscopy methods to better monitor disease progression.
Hobbies: I trained in classical ballet for fifteen years, and I love watching/performing in dance shows in my free time!

Education: Computer Science and Mathematics
Research interests: Exploring methods to noninvasively image the retina to study retinal oxygenation and blood flow to understand microvascular health
Hobbies: hiking, trying new foods, and baking!
