PET-RTRC Invests in Student Researchers Through Summer Mentorship - Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology

Each summer, undergraduate and medical students from across the country participate in the WashU Medicine Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology (MIR) Summer Research Program (SRP), a paid, 10-week program that introduces participants to the diverse disciplines within radiological science while providing hands-on research experience and mentorship from leading experts.

To aid in this effort, members of the PET Radiotracer Translation and Research Center (PET-RTRC) provided financial support for two students. Four PET-RTRC members also provided hands-on mentorship:

Patrícia M. Ribeiro Pereira, PhD a collaborative project leader, mentored Adan Habib
Vijay Sharma, PhD, PET-RTRC TR&D 3 leader and SRP director, mentored Eliana Soiffer
Richard L. Wahl, MD, a member of the tracer review committee, mentored Vaughn House
