Benzinger Lab Attends Alzheimer’s Association International Conference

Members of the Benzinger Lab attended the Alzheimer’s Association International Conference (AAIC), the largest and most influential international conference on dementia science, in San Diego. Each year, AAIC convenes the world’s leading basic scientists, clinical researchers, early career investigators, clinicians and the care research community to share breaking research discoveries that will lead to methods of prevention and treatment and improvements in the diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease.
Tammie L. S. Benzinger, MD, PhD, professor of radiology, delivered one of the plenary session presentations during the conference’s Alzheimer’s Imaging Consortium, a preconference to AAIC, that focused on the clinical application and methodological development of neuroimaging to Alzheimer’s disease, other dementias and normal brain aging. Her presentation, “Neuroimaging of Autosomal Dominant AD,” provided an overview of imaging in dominantly inherited Alzheimer’s disease.
Other lab members presented their research during panel discussions, poster sessions, and individual presentations.
