Risha R. Shah, MD

Diagnostic Radiology Resident

Hometown: It's a complicated answer. I was born in Houston, TX, but grew up abroad in Al-Khobar in Saudi Arabia in the Middle East. I chose MIR because: I get to learn from world class, renowned radiologists at a residency program that then allows me the opportunity to have independent call. The dual ability of MIR to provide incredible teaching and gradual autonomy was what made me ultimately chose MIR. My teachable medical school moment: Getting a good patient history (by talking to the patient) will always make a difference. Being thorough can make you stand out as a medical student and as a resident! My personal interests (hobbies, sports, hidden talents, etc.): Watching movies, running/yoga, reading and writing fiction My favorite go-to meal: Chipotle 100%. Also Thai or Indian food. I’m excited about living in St. Louis because: I went to WashU for undergrad but did not explore STL at all. I'm excited to revisit and do more exploring. Something most people don’t know about me: I learned how to drive for the first time right after I graduated medical school. Avoid all black Honda Civics (maybe). Anything else you should know about me: I love watching movies and talking about them.
